Racheal and Herbert , undertook a decision to start  an Early Learning Center to  tackle the problem  of  lifting  quality, affordable and accessible education during early stages of learning at the grassroots in Kashari.

The Problem

Due to lack of affordable and acccessible kindergatens, Close to 90% of the children in this area do not have access to early education because of the costs involved. Due to accessibility and the current situation where all kindergartens are run by private institutions that charge exorbitantly which sets apart the poor and struggling parents who can not afford this other school. That is why most parents wait to enroll their children into primary school education at age the 9 or 10.

After witnessing the adversities that children in these villages encountered, even when those parents that struggled to do so would use motorcycles to transport their toddlers to school very early in the morning  (6 or 7 -3 year olds) on one motorcycle very early in the morning. We were moved and had to make a difference by starting up Zion Kids Palace so early learning education could be available to low income families.

After 3 years now, our  dedication has  grown making Zion Kids Palace into a community serviced center. We currently have 4  teachers with 100 kids enrolled. Our teaching staff provides each student with a full KG program with breakfast and lunch.

The philosophy,  Teach a man how to  fish, and  feed him for a lifetime’  this has fueled us  to found Zion.
